Terms of Service

  • Payment is only taken in USD through PayPal.

  • You may not remove or crop out my signature from any image unless it is for use as an icon or avatar.

  • Credit must be given to the alias Cerious or my store upon reposting commissioned art, if reposting on Toyhouse, credit goes to Duskenvale.

  • You may not claim commissioned art as your own work. You have a right to the character(s) within the art and the personal showcasing of the art you paid for; however, you did not create the art.

  • As the artist, I retain the right to use commissioned work as example work and/or display commissioned artwork in my portfolio for future reference. However, if for any reason you do not want your commission to be displayed, reach out to me and I will more than likely take it down.

  • Commissioned art may not be used for commercial purposes, including logos, store art, commercial lineart, and character sales that bundle commissioned art with the exchanged character without requesting permission to do or receiving it in advance.

  • Commissioned art may be edited as long as credit is given to the base image and the edit does not violate previously stated terms.

  • If you decide to cancel your commission, a full refund is available up until the sketch is approved. After linework / color is started a refund cannot be received unless the artist is unable to complete the work for any reason.

  • Base pricing for commissions is non-negotiable. Discounts may be provided upon artist discretion, but are by no means guaranteed.

  • I reserve the right to cancel any commission I am uncomfortable drawing, lack the ability to draw, or am unable to finish due to external reasons. In all cases, should payment have been sent, it will be promptly refunded in full.

  • I do not have specified completion dates for commissions. A timeframe can be given if requested, but the length of a commission will depend on place in the queue, size of the commission, and external events. You will be alerted when a commission has been started, and progress is displayed as a checklist within the worklist cards.

Custom Design Commissions

$30-40 USD

  • 30 USD for a flat color illustration, 40 USD for a rendered piece

  • Includes one customizable fullbody character design, color swatches, an optional headshot/bust, and a simple reference sheet background

  • For a full reference sheet, see the Reference Sheets section [No upcharge for custom designs]

  • A concept sheet of a custom character can be requested for the original price of the style of sheet + a 20 USD custom design fee, which would include both the sheet and the custom design reference

  • Feral, Anthro, & certain Humanoids only

  • Base price is not subject to change based on complexity; however, complicated designs may take longer than stated turn-around times to complete

  • The commissioner is NOT limited in the number of changes they can make to the design within reason as long as they pertain to the current phase of the commission (i.e. markings/color can be changed before or when the color update is shown-- but major changes to linework would not be accepted)

  • Color swatches of all major colors used in character's design

  • Bio implementation with custom text and design if requested

  • Backgrounds can be fully customized by the buyer (simple flat color to detailed patterns), or ideas/features can be provided to be worked into trial backgrounds the buyer can choose from
